SEL is the process of developing social and emotional skills in the context of safe, caring, well-managed, and engaging learning environments (CASEL, 2006). Sanger Unified has several systems and services in place to support SEL.
A play-based 1:1 intervention program for K-3 students. The goal is to build resiliency and foster a child’s connection to school.
A small group program designed to help K-3 students learn to get along well with others.
SAP is a nationally recognized model for providing support groups at all grade levels. District counselors and school psychologists have been SAP group trained and offer many different types of groups at sites.
Available at each site, they provide small group and individual support services for counseling and behavior management, as well as, referrals to community agencies.
Offers parent training, counseling, referrals to and collaboration with mental health agencies, and supports for homeless and foster youth.
